He is here at the radio station having a radio-a-thon to help raise money for the radio station and other special needs. 2013 Fall/Winter

“What a Great God We Serve” 
  We come to the close of another year and begin the journey of a
New Year with great gratitude to our God for We could not even think about serving Him if His Grace had not been revealed to us by a Good man of God, preaching the Word of God!!...We would not have know which way to go, but for His Guidance through some faithful follower who said “follow Me as
I follow Him”!!! 
  When the road got hard, and full of danger from without and within, we would have turned aside if not for His Goodness, through a kind Servant, Faithful to the Cross!!...But then came the days when no man seemed to care for our soul, and we would have been shipwrecked, but for His Gentle touch, through
a weary, weathered wayfaring pilgrim, who reminded us that He was in all points tempted but without sin!!...Now we are convinced by His Word, both written and lived before us of His Genuiness, His Greatness, and that our lives here will only be worth living if they are lived to His Glory...Our heart-felt thanks to those who inspire and encourage us to keep on keeping on by your dedication to the Savior… Have a blessed New Year!! 
  All along this Journey, we are faced with times when we are tempted to run ahead of the will of God...Then we are reminded that, “They That Wait Upon the Lord Shall Renew their Strength”. 
   Waiting on the Lord is an exciting blessing, it involves more than sitting around doing nothing! First it involves waiting for God to supply your needs, Second it involves me waiting on the Lords’ need to get the Gospel out, and Third it involves me waiting on the Lord to return to catch us away!! So if we wish to win on the battlefield for the Lord, we must learn to wait on Him. 
  Recently God moved in an unusual way in the Ministry of Faith Baptist Church in Fort Pierce, Fl, where we are helping in the restoration of that Ministry. A little over a year ago the Church was over two hundred thousand dollars in debt from operational bills and 1.7 million dollars in debt on mortgages that had not been paid on in years. The foreclosure had been filed and all of the properties and contents were threatened. 
  In a mediation meeting in December with the bank , God turned all that around. By the time the meeting concluded we had signed an agreement that absolved the Church of all the mortgage loans, (totaling 1.9 Million) and gave them clear title to one million dollars in real-estate, and removed the threat of seizure from five hundred thousand dollars in vehicles, furnishings, equipment and machinery. 

   Only God could do this, there is no other explanation...to our great God Be the Glory!!! 

  We always offer our services to Churches in need at no cost and oftentimes help them raise funds for different projects. Our cost of operation this year was way more than expected, coupled together with some reduction in support because of the economy, we have a need that is urgent!!

“GOD GIVES THE INCREASE”

The Lord always runs ahead of us smoothing out the way! This Spring/Summer season has been a time of increase in many areas. Two new churches began supporting the mission work of BATA, for which we are very thankful. The Lord helped us be a help with new churches and some struggling churches, which is the heartbeat of our fellowship. We were also blessed with a new/used vehicle for running the roads...Praise the Lord for His Goodness!!

“GREAT MEETINGS THIS SUMMER”

I keep saying, “I’m pulling off the road some soon”...but we just keep logging thousands of miles preaching and praising the Lord with God’s good people. This season had us in West Virginia, Florida, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Michigan...with multiple trips in some.

We enjoyed tent meetings with Pastor Matt LaFave in Michigan and Pastor Jim Reeves in Maryland with folks saved in both meetings and a touch of revival as God’s people responded to the Word of God. The Lord blessed us with the opportunity to be with Pastor John Smith in Teas Valley, West Virginia, for his greatly blessed Jubilee...God is good! We ended the season with a Church we helped start five years ago, Quarryville Baptist Church in Quarryville, Pennsylvania, with Pastor Craig Hodge.

We had a blessed time with them in their new building God provided...all this and being blessed by grandchildren serving the Lord in the Church...God is good!!

“GOING GLOBAL IN NOVEMBER”

In November “BATA” Baptist Ambassadors to America, will also be known as “B.A.T.A.” Baptist Ambassadors Team America, as our first Missionary to a foreign country is sent to the field of Mongolia.
Brother Jeff Kruchkow and his family are going to Mongolia to work in Bible printing. Brother Jeff will be the Director of Printing for First Bible Mongolia, an established print shop. His goal is to lead the shop to expand to meet the needs of the millions of souls represented by the countries that surround Mongolia as well as the needs of the Mongolian people. Brother Jeff will also serve as our Director of Global Expansion.

Please pray for the needs of this family as they prepare to leave, the costs are many, pray that the Lord will supply. We have a very special interest in this family as Jeff is my son-in-law and this family is precious to my wife and I,. . .Pray for us as well.

“GOING FULLSTEAM AHEAD IN U.S.A.”

Please pray for our projects in the U.S.A. and our missionaries. Our Director of Homeland Expansion, Dr. Tim Holtsclaw, is helping with a new church on Staten Island, New York, and is being joined by Travis McHugh and John Wheeler and folks from other churches. Pray for souls to be saved and many contacts to be made.

Pray for Dr. Tom Milam as he is helping churches in the mountains with Revival and Church Strengthening meetings. God is using Brother Tom to help these churches in the remote areas of our great country!!

“GOD IS MOVING AT FAITH BAPTIST”

We have called it “THE FORT PIERCE PROJECT” which is a recovery effort for a great church in Fort Pierce, Florida, Faith Baptist Church!! Since August of last year souls have been saved, folks have joined the Church, debt has been retired and ministries continue to operate...against all odds...to God be the glory!! However we are not out of the woods by a long shot...we continue to need your extra help to stay with the project...pray and do as the Lord tells you. That will be enough.

BATA GOOD REPORT

“OH ! WHAT A STIRRING!”

We enjoyed a Great Time of Revival in Fort Pierce Florida at Faith Baptist Church in October. Dr. Tom Milam and
I were joined by area Pastors and God stirred the hearts of Saints, and people were saved. We have had the blessing of people being baptized and some of Gods’ discouraged servants getting back to work for Him. Pray for this project we must have the help of Gods’ people around the country to accomplish what is needed...Please obey the Lord!!!

“OH ! WHAT A SUPPLIER !”

We ended October and began November with a bang !! After driving fifteen hours we arrived in West Virginia into an early snow storm. I turned into my driveway and got stuck...Had to be towed out. I then made another run at it and made it up the driveway only to slide into a six by six post. While trying to ease the car away from the pole I trapped my left arm between the pole and the car and dislocated my arm from the shoulder...Ouch !! Had to go to the hospital to have it put back in place...Ouch Again !!...Still in therapy.

Then we began November with our 50th wedding anniversary celebration with my arm in a sling (lots of sympathy). Our children did a wonderful job with the gathering of friends and family from around the country....Through them and others, God supplied the needed encouragement and finances to help us through this special time of Ministry. We have had folks not aware of the Special Project give to help sustain us...Thank all of you for your obedience…

“OH, ! WHAT A SAVIOUR !”

As I watch how the Lord continues to work in all aspects of the Ministry of BATA all I can say is “Oh! What a Saviour !!”

On a week to week basis He is blessing the Fort Pierce Project at Faith Baptist Church At the same time He is blessing the efforts of Jeff Kruchkow on the Mongolian Project as we develop the “Baptist Ambassadors Team America” (BATA), the global extension of this Ministry. As we extend globally He is working through Dr Tim Holtsclaw as Director of Homeland Expansion for U.S.A. Church Planting and Church Strengthening, to expand the Ministry to and through the Churches in America !!

We have missionaries on deputation and pray that you will give them a hearing when they contact you. Take time to check out our updated web site at www.batamissions.org...it will make you say “Oh ! What a Saviour”

“OH! WHAT A CAUSE !”

David said, when facing a giant and reflecting on the hesitation of his co-labors… “Is there not a cause?” As our night darkens we should say “The darker the night the brighter the light !!” We have a cause and that is to lift up a Risen Saviour to a sin darkened world...it will take all of us doing our part to get the task done...millions wait why hesitate!
